$10 Million Lottery Ticket Sold at Rockford Convenience Store

by Nancy

ROCKFORD, Ill. — A Rockford convenience store has sold a winning scratch-off ticket worth $10 million, according to the Illinois Lottery.

The lucky ticket was purchased at Stop N Shop, located at 2501 North Huffman Boulevard. The game played was the $10,000,000 Bankroll, which launched in November 2024. The winner has not yet been identified.

Store manager Raj Patel expressed his excitement after learning about the win.

“We’ve sold a few big winners before—between $100,000 and $900,000,” said Patel. “I kept saying the next one had to be a million-dollar winner, but I never imagined $10 million!”

As a reward for selling the winning ticket, Stop N Shop will receive a $100,000 bonus from the Illinois Lottery.

Patel said part of the bonus will go toward employee appreciation and long-needed store improvements. He also hinted at a community celebration this summer to thank loyal customers.

“We’re going to give back to our employees, who are a key part of our success,” he said. “And we’re looking forward to celebrating with the neighborhood soon.”
