A lucky Lotto player in East Cork has become €500,000 richer overnight after winning the top prize in the EuroMillions Plus draw. The winner, who may not yet realize their good fortune, purchased their ticket in Youghal over the weekend.
The winning numbers for the April 29 EuroMillions Plus draw were 5, 25, 28, 35, and 49. The ticket, which was bought on Saturday at Lidl on Mill Road in Youghal, earned the lucky player the “life-enhancing” €500,000 prize.
This is the second EuroMillions Plus top prize win in Cork this year, following another win in March at Dunnes Stores in Ballyvolane Shopping Centre.
Darragh O’Dwyer, a spokesperson for the National Lottery, said, “What a night for Youghal as a player in the town has claimed a life-enhancing amount of money, winning the EuroMillions Plus top prize of €500,000!”
So far in 2025, there have been 14 EuroMillions Plus wins, with over 42,000 players in Ireland winning prizes in the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws.
