A UK player has claimed the £65.3 million EuroMillions jackpot from Friday’s draw, marking the second time this year that a UK ticket-holder has won the top prize, according to National Lottery operator Allwyn.
This win comes just a month after an anonymous UK winner claimed £83.4 million in January. That win was ranked 23rd on the lottery’s list of the “most spectacular” wins of all time.
The Valentine’s Day jackpot win is now being verified, and if confirmed, the winner will decide whether to go public or remain anonymous.
However, Allwyn also warned that other winners may still be unclaimed. Andy Carter, from the National Lottery operator, stated, “It’s been an incredible weekend for making millionaires. But we’re still missing seven winners from the 14 EuroMillions millionaires in Friday night’s special draw. We’re urging everyone to check their tickets.”
In another big win, a ticket-holder in Saturday’s Lotto draw won a £7.4 million jackpot and came forward over the weekend.
Last year, four UK players won EuroMillions jackpots, including a £177 million payout in November, the third-largest EuroMillions prize ever won by a British player.
