Members of a Wayne County lottery club are celebrating after winning a $793,304 jackpot playing the Michigan Lottery’s 5 Win Lucky Clover Fast Cash game.
The club’s representative explained, “My friend lives in Northern Michigan, and we recently started playing the Lottery together when I visit my cabin up north. We bought a Fast Cash ticket and didn’t know how much we won at first. When we scanned it, we got a message to visit the Lottery office.”
They then scanned the ticket using the Michigan Lottery app and were stunned to find they had won the jackpot plus an extra $250,000. “It was a total shock,” the representative said. “It took a while to understand what had happened. I don’t think it will fully sink in until we cash our checks.”
The winning ticket was purchased at Talley’s Log Cabin Bar in Lewiston, located about 25 miles southeast of Gaylord. The club recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim their prize. With the winnings, they plan to live debt-free.
Fast Cash is a series of instant-win games printed at Lottery retailer terminals. Tickets range from $2 to $30 per play. The games feature a progressive jackpot that grows with each ticket sold. Every Fast Cash ticket gives players a chance to win all or part of this jackpot.
