Lottery officials are urging a Mega Millions player in Louisiana to come forward and claim a $40,000 prize before it expires—just hours remain before the deadline.
The winning ticket was purchased on December 17, 2024, at Singh Brothers Two, a gas station located at 28010 Highway 190 in Lacombe, Louisiana. However, the prize remains unclaimed, and if no one steps forward by Sunday, June 15, the winnings will be forfeited.
The ticket included the Megaplier option, which multiplies non-jackpot winnings by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times for an additional $1. The multiplier is chosen randomly before each draw. In this case, the Megaplier boosted the winner’s prize to $40,000.
Without immediate action, the ticket—and the prize—will become worthless.
Lottery officials are also highlighting other unclaimed winnings. In Arizona, another Mega Millions player is at risk of losing a $10,000 prize. That ticket was also bought on December 17, 2024, and carries the same June 15 deadline.
If you or someone you know purchased a Mega Millions ticket around that time, it may be worth checking. Time is quickly running out.
