A father of two from Kent has become a millionaire overnight after winning £1 million in the EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw .
The lucky winner, known only as Mr A, matched the winning raffle code and also collected an extra £2.80 from his ticket.
Mr A, who has chosen to remain partially anonymous, revealed that his first purchase after the life-changing win was a weekend getaway to celebrate.
“This win is amazing and will allow me to travel more and buy a new home. I feel incredibly lucky,” he said.
Each EuroMillions ticket played in the UK includes a Millionaire Maker code, creating at least one new millionaire in every draw.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, congratulated Mr A, calling the win “life-changing.”
