A total of 80 Lotto players across Ireland woke up €13,000 richer this Sunday following a special Lotto Plus Raffle draw that added €1 million to the prize pool.
In addition to the widespread wins, one Galway player scooped €45,758 after matching five numbers plus the bonus in Saturday night’s main Lotto draw. The winning quick pick ticket was bought on Friday, April 4, at Sharkey’s Spar Express on Bishop Street in Tuam, Co. Galway.
The numbers drawn in the main Lotto were: 8, 14, 18, 28, 38, and 40, with the Bonus number 42. The winning Lotto Plus Raffle number was 1743.
Although there was no jackpot winner, over 81,000 players claimed prizes in both the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws.
The National Lottery is urging players, particularly in Galway, to carefully check their tickets. “What a night of wins for our players!” said Emma Monaghan, National Lottery spokesperson. “We’re urging everyone to double-check their tickets. And if you’re our Galway winner, please contact our Prize Claims team as soon as possible.”
Almost 30 cents of every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes to Good Causes, supporting sport, youth, health, education, heritage, and the Irish language. Since its founding 37 years ago, the National Lottery has raised more than €6.5 billion for such causes. In 2023 alone, €227.9 million was contributed to local communities across Ireland.
