A man from Lanarkshire has become a millionaire after winning £1,000,000 in the EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw in April.
Every EuroMillions ticket automatically includes a Millionaire Maker code, which creates a guaranteed millionaire in every draw. The winning code for this draw was XQKQ 97029.
The lucky winner, who has chosen to remain anonymous, said he was still in shock. He described the feeling as “being filled with helium and bouncing off the ceiling.” He added that the best part of the win was sharing it with his family and giving them financial stability.
The draw took place on Friday, April 11.
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, the operator of The National Lottery, congratulated the new millionaire. “It’s incredible how this man from Lanarkshire became a millionaire overnight,” Carter said. “It must have been a life-changing moment when he realized he had won £1 million.”
