A massive $15 million Lotto Powerball prize was up for grabs in Saturday night’s draw, but no ticket matched all the numbers, pushing the jackpot up to $17 million for Wednesday’s game.
The winning Lotto numbers were 15, 25, 22, 6, 2, 19, with the bonus ball 5. The Powerball number was 7.
Although the top prize wasn’t won, two players from Wellington and Canterbury each took home $500,000 after winning Lotto First Division.
In the special Strike Must Be Won draw, the $1.5 million prize was split between three winners, who each walked away with $500,000.
Earlier in the week, 25 players won just over $10,000 each in Lotto’s Second Division draw. Of those winners, 15 were from Auckland. The rest came from the Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay (three winners), Manawatū, Invercargill, and Canterbury (four winners).
Two of the Canterbury players also won the Second Division Powerball prize, bringing their total winnings to $19,119 each.
The biggest Lotto Powerball prize of 2024 so far remains the $23.3 million won by an Auckland player on April 23. The winning ticket was bought through the MyLotto app.
Other major wins this year include two $10.5 million prizes in February, an $8.3 million win in Taranaki in January, and three separate wins of just over $5 million in Christchurch, Dunedin, and Port Chalmers in March.
