A winning EuroMillions ticket worth £83,474,081 has yet to be claimed, despite being purchased for the January 24th draw.
The ticket matched all five main numbers — 02, 11, 19, 30, and 49 — along with the Lucky Stars, 03 and 08.
A spokesperson from The National Lottery operator, Allwyn, described it as “very unusual” for such a large prize to remain unclaimed for so long. They confirmed that this is the biggest unclaimed prize at this stage.
Details of where the winning ticket was purchased have not been revealed. However, Allwyn has announced plans for “bespoke activity” at the shop where the ticket was bought if the prize remains unclaimed by next Friday.
“It is in everyone’s interest that this prize is claimed,” said the spokesperson.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Adviser at Allwyn, urged players to check their tickets, stating, “I can’t believe there’s one lucky ticket holder out there who hasn’t claimed this incredible EuroMillions jackpot prize — there are 83,474,081 reasons for them to check their ticket straight away.”
Currently, nine other EuroMillions prizes are still waiting to be claimed by UK ticket holders, with the largest standing at £1 million. The biggest unclaimed prize in UK history was £63.8 million in June 2012.
Ticket holders have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
