Massachusetts lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets after a winning “Mass Cash” ticket worth $100,000 was sold at a gas station in Dalton on May 21 — and has yet to be claimed.
The winning numbers from that night’s drawing were 19, 20, 22, 23, and 31. The ticket was purchased at a local gas station, and officials say the holder may not realize they are carrying a life-changing prize.
The Massachusetts Lottery is now calling on anyone who played Mass Cash on that date to double-check their numbers and come forward if they have the winning slip.
On the same day, at least 489 other prizes worth $600 or more were claimed across the state, including 8 in Springfield, 18 in Worcester, and 45 in Boston.
So far in 2025, Massachusetts has seen two major lottery wins, each worth $15 million. One was from a “Diamond Deluxe” scratch ticket sold in Holyoke, and the other came from a “300X” scratch ticket purchased on Cape Cod.
Meanwhile, in South Carolina, lottery fever is rising as the state sets a new record with a jackpot rollover that has occurred 44 times. The prize, now worth $1,132,000, was most recently rolled over on Monday in Sumter.
Officials remind all lottery players to regularly check their tickets, as unclaimed prizes like these can expire.
