Florida Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets after two winning Fantasy 5 slips—worth a combined $132,000—were sold in Miami over the weekend.
One lucky player won $100,880 in Sunday’s drawing, while another took home $32,125 on Saturday. Both winners have yet to claim their prizes.
The $32,125 ticket was purchased at a Publix supermarket located at 1500 NW 57th Ave., Miami, according to the Miami Herald. The winning numbers for Saturday’s draw were 5, 11, 16, 21, and 34. The prize amount was lower because three other players also matched all five numbers that day.
The $100,880 ticket from Sunday’s draw was sold at a gas station near the Walmart on 5851 NW 177th St. The winning numbers were 8, 22, 23, 29, and 33. This prize was not shared.
Winners have 180 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes. To do so, they must visit a Florida Lottery district office. The Miami-Dade office is located at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes and is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Unclaimed Florida lottery prizes eventually support the state’s education system. According to the Florida Lottery, 80% of unclaimed jackpot money is transferred to the Educational Enhancement Trust Fund.
Meanwhile, other prizes across the U.S. remain unclaimed. Over Labor Day weekend, two Powerball players in Arkansas won big but have yet to collect their money.
One winner bought a ticket at a Kum & Go gas station in Jonesboro. They matched four numbers and the Powerball in the August 31 drawing—4, 34, 35, 38, 69, with a Powerball of 19. Thanks to the Power Play multiplier, their $50,000 prize doubled to $100,000.
Another player in Conway won $150,000 on September 2 after buying a ticket at a Doublebees store. They matched four numbers—8, 42, 46, 48, 53—and the Powerball was 22. The Power Play tripled their prize.
Additionally, a Mega Millions ticket sold in Northeast Ohio remains unclaimed. Officials across several states continue to remind players to check their tickets, as deadlines to claim winnings vary.
